Jane Evans has always been radical. If something gets on her goat, she turns her creativity to it and tackles it head-on, making people think differently.
And she makes me think differently about the pandemic and its stresses. Jane in this podcast feels like the big sister I never had, giving me that reassuring wisdom that I need to hear right now.
She made me really chill out and see my life in a longer perspective (fingers crossed). As she says, we're often driven by short termism and fear. She tells the touching story of how she went from a successful career to finding herself at the foodbank.
Many of us fear the foodbank and think that shows a 'failed' story. But it's just a chapter in a story. Hers has now moved on and she's about to make more money than she ever has.... and she's got more energy than ever to, as she says, 'smash the God damn patriarchy'.
Have a listen and share with anyone else that might be needing to hear an experienced perspective on the inevitable ups and downs of a life.
Her book - Invisible to valuable - is out on May 27th (which, all going well, should be the day this podcast releases!)
